What is a restaurant point of sale system?

What is the advantage of having a Kitchen Display Solution (KDS)?
Better than printers or hand-written chits, the KDS follows the kitchen routing specs configured in the Restaurant Solution Back Office. It integrates with your Bank of America Restaurant Solution POS software to digitally display orders to your kitchen staff. KDS improves order times and provides multi-lingual support for kitchen items to elevate the back of house experience.
How does happy hour or brunch work?
You can set up a specialized event for a specific timeframe (e.g. M-F from 3PM-7PM) and indicate which food and drink items will be priced differently for the event.
Does your system log gratuity onto tickets for a large party?
Yes, the Restaurant Solution allows you to set gratuity onto a ticket.
Is the customer able to split tickets within a party?
Yes, the split can be done by seat or by equal parts. Plus, everyone can have their own individual meals and split the appetizer.
Can you transfer tickets between staff (e.g. bar to table)?
Yes, the bartender can easily transfer the ticket to the wait staff to charge the customer's table.
